Your power bill is a fixed cost.
It doesn't have to be.

Four Solar is an engineering-led EPC out of Hyderabad, building grid-connected solar across industry, MW-scale plants, communities and homes — designed for how the plant actually runs in year ten, not just year one.

  • Cut 60–90% off your monthly electricity cost
  • 3–5 year payback, then 20+ years of near-free generation
  • Subsidy, accelerated depreciation and DISCOM approvals handled in-house

No form wall. Run the numbers first — talk to an engineer only if they add up.

Subsidy under PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana applies to residential grid-connected systems and is capped at ₹78,000 regardless of size above 3 kW. Commercial and industrial systems are not subsidy-eligible but qualify for 40% accelerated depreciation in year one; the year-1 benefit above assumes a 25% effective tax rate. Prices are indicative and vary with roof type, structure height, evacuation distance and component selection.

Why Four Solar

Engineering discipline, not a sales pipeline

The things that decide whether a plant still performs in year twelve are decided in the first three weeks. That is where we spend our time.

We name the components

Modules from Waaree, Tata and Solex; tier-one inverters. You get the exact make and model in the BOM before you sign, not after.

Structural review first

Shadow analysis, roof structure and access are checked before a system size is quoted. If your roof can't take it, we say so early.

Paperwork is ours

DISCOM applications, net metering, inspection, PM Surya Ghar portal and subsidy claims. You sign; we file, follow up and close it out.

Monitoring from day one

Plant-level monitoring on every system and SCADA on larger plants, so underperformance shows up as data rather than as a surprise bill.

Our own crews

Design, procurement, installation and commissioning by Four Solar staff. No subcontracted installs, so there is nobody to point at in year seven.

Financing that works

Collateral-free rooftop loans for homes and societies; OPEX and RESCO models for industry where capex is the blocker.

Process

From first bill to live plant

Four stages with a checkpoint before every major commitment. Timelines vary by state and scale — a residential rooftop with clean documents typically runs 30–45 days.

What customers actually say

Verbatim from public Google reviews.

★★★★★

“It's been 9 months since we installed solar and everything has been working well. Recently we had an unrelated power issue and wanted to check the solar connection wasn't involved. They sent a field engineer the very next day. The fast response is very much appreciated.”

FAQs

The questions we actually get asked

How much does a solar system cost?

For homes: roughly ₹65,000 for 1 kW down to about ₹52,000 per kW at 10 kW, before subsidy. For commercial and industrial: ₹35,000–₹46,000 per kW depending on scale and roof type. The full tables are published above — we would rather you know before you call.

How much subsidy will I actually get?

Under PM Surya Ghar, residential systems get ₹30,000 for 1 kW, ₹60,000 for 2 kW and ₹78,000 for 3 kW and above. The ₹78,000 is a hard cap — a 10 kW home system gets the same ₹78,000 as a 3 kW one. Commercial and industrial systems get no subsidy, but qualify for 40% accelerated depreciation in year one.

What is the payback period?

Typically 3–5 years for homes after subsidy, and 3–4 years for commercial and industrial after the depreciation benefit. Higher tariffs shorten it. The calculator above gives you a figure for your own bill.

Which panels and inverters do you use?

ALMM-listed modules from Waaree, Tata and Solex, and tier-one inverters. The exact make and model appears in your Bill of Materials before you sign, not after commissioning.

How much roof area do I need?

About 80 sq ft per kW for a standard rooftop layout, and 100–120 sq ft per kW if you want walkways for cleaning access. Ground-mount plants need roughly 4 acres per MW.

Do you handle the DISCOM and net metering paperwork?

Yes. Application, feasibility approval, inspection, meter swap, subsidy claim and the PM Surya Ghar portal are all handled by our team. You sign; we file and follow up.

What happens if generation drops?

Every plant ships with monitoring, and larger plants with SCADA, so a drop shows up as data before it shows up on your bill. Preventive maintenance and performance reviews are available under defined O&M contracts.

Can a housing society go solar without disrupting residents?

Yes — that is most of what we do in gated communities. Common-area loads are solarised in phases, planned around association operations, so lifts, pumps and lighting are never out of service.
